Personal Comments : A wonderful film especially for street work after dark. It handles artificial lights very well to give a balanced image and highlights are not blown. Colors come out nicely, the reds pop, yellow and greenish lights are exaggerated a bit which creates a nice atmosphere. The images are quite sharp and the grain structure is beautiful, also I have found that I like making natural portraits with this film too.

Use this film, if you can find some, for available light photography especially street. IMO this film shows that grains in color images may be quite welcome to bring out its character.

  1. I have been a long-time admirer of Superia 1600! It’s my favorite high-speed color film (not that there are that many) but I really love the grain structure in it. It’s very versatile, as you said. I’d encourage people to try this great film!

  2. Hi there,
I am sucked in! All thanks to your review and lovely Photos!
Can you kindly tell me where to get Fujifilm Superia 1600? Is there any Indian e-bay seller who sells them or can you kindly guide me a wholesale dealer who couriers film…?
