Personal Comments : I still remember how eventful the whole episode was! Really keen on trying film, I borrowed a film camera from a friend who himself had borrowed it from his friend. Armed with a 50mm lens, I went out to look for the cheapest film available and found Nova (for less than a $). With the low cost came the apprehensions and I hesitantly rolled it into the camera. I shot from 10pm to 10am (with a 4 hour sleep bracket) and the results completely bemused me.
All the shots came out as if the roll was misplaced with a 50 year old roll, there was a vintage feel all throughout. The good part to note is that even at 125ASA , the night shots came impeccably sharp however I realized that that going half a step lower on exposure didn’t suffice in the morning and slightly overexposed results came out all thoughout. But overall, I was very happy with the results and Nova Silverfine 125 eventually plunged me deeper & deeper into the content world of film. This particular film is for sure recommended only if one is willing to spend big monies on the B&W post-processing and development!
